The Daughters of the British Empire (DBE) formed their first chapter in New Mexico, in the year 1940. This first chapter consisted of 6 women and was named the Mackenzie King Chapter. Over the years other chapters were formed.
Presently New Mexico has 2 chapters, the Helen McClelland chapter that meets during the day and the Oxbridge chapter that meets in the evenings. Both chapters hold meetings, functions and events throughout the week but a majority of the functions and events are held on weekends.
Please, contact us if you have any questions about our DBE Chapters in the state of New Mexico.
